Introduction to QGIS
Description
This beginner course has been created to provide people who have no prior knowledge or experience in GIS with an opportunity to implement basic activities and data manipulations in QGIS.
Within this introductory course, participants will be provided with basic geographical information systems knowledge, including the types of geospatial data (vector and raster), concepts of coordinate systems, and the most applicable web-based GIS services (WFS, WM(T)S). They will learn the QGIS interface and its features, data manipulation tools, and more.
The course is organised with great emphasis on learning-through-doing: any theoretical sections that have been included are very brief and are accompanied by practical activities for the participants.
