Description
The “QGIS PointClouds” course by Geo-ICT provides a practical introduction to processing and analysing point cloud data in QGIS. Designed for GIS professionals who want to expand their skills in working with LiDAR and 3D geodata, the course covers importing and managing point clouds, creating Virtual Point Clouds (VPC), and converting point cloud data into raster datasets. Participants learn to apply interpolation methods such as IDW and TIN, filter data to remove noise, and use PDAL Wrench to automate processing workflows. The course combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on exercises using real-world datasets. Upon completion, participants will be able to independently process, analyse, and visualise point cloud data in QGIS and apply these techniques effectively in professional GIS projects.
